Kristen Stewart Talks About The Twilight Comparisons and Her “Butch” Snow White Costume!
Just a few days ago, we told you that we met Kristen Stewart on the London set of Snow White & The Huntsman. Yeah. We’re still not over it either. And then we told you that she’s awesome and so pretty and so so nice in real life. And we think this interview with Kristen — ya know, the one we did in her trailer (!!!) — will prove, it guys. She even talked to us about Twilight!
Teen.com: First things first — what do you love most about playing Snow White?
Kristen Stewart: It’s strange playing a character that you actually could never truly embody. I can’t have Snow White’s affect on people. I can’t actually be completely selfless because nobody is. You can only really play a character like that in a fairytale and play it with an awful load of integrity and not have it just be like a fake character in a movie with other people that do seem real. She’s a very fully formed but very farfetched from the reality that we live in type of person. She also is strong in a very different way than you’d expect like bullying a person in an action-type adventure movie.
>Teen.com: Is Snow White anything like Bella Swan? Sorry, just had to ask this one…
Kristen: No, totally! Bella and Snow White are slightly… they both come to find that they’re leaders. That’s definitely a similarity. They’re different. They’re very, very, very different people. Both of them are sort of a little more intuitive and spiritually, for whatever reason, connected, and their gut is always sort of dead right.
Teen.com: Is Snow White prissier than Bella?
Kristen: She is prissy sometimes. But she’s strong. She can kick ass. That’s the other thing. It takes her the whole movie basically to become who I’m talking about now. It’s a total identity movie. It’s all about not finding yourself, but actually just being okay with who you know you always have been and not being ashamed of being the only one who sees the light.
Teen.com. Let’s talk about the costumes. How freakin’ cool was it to wear that armor?
Kristen: That’s the first thing you wanna do is, “ahhh!” Editor’s note: She hit her chest here and screamed like Tarzan. It was great.) And [the dress underneath] is so wearable. I also have puffy sleeves. Somehow she manages to make puffy sleeves look butch.
Teen.com: In Snow White and in New Moon, you’re brought out to the woods to get bad news. Is it worse to find out you’re going to die or to get dumped?
Kristen: I think it’s totally impossible to compare the two. Because leading out to and being broken up with thing, especially in that context, was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to play and I’m not even…I built that moment up in my head. Not that I’m talking about Twilight now. But um…you can’t compare them. And I know that doesn’t make sense, but I kind of can’t compare.
Teen.com: We’re so jealous you got to work with Chris. What’s he like?
Kristen: Before I met him, I was like, “Gosh, so charming.” You know what I mean? Like, he’s so ridiculously, seemingly nice. Movie-star caliber nice. But he really actually just is. Really kind of just like quasi-boy. He’s really relaxed whereas I’m always like “Oh my God!” I use my anxiety to do this. He’s a good energy for me. I really like working with him.
Teen.com: Did you have a favorite fairy-tale as a kid?
Kristen: I knew you were gonna say that!
Teen.com: We’re asking everyone! Sorry!
Kristen: I honestly don’t…somebody asked this the other day. I wasn’t here till the end of fairytales. But I really liked the Jungle Book. I was obsessed.
Not gonna lie, we kinda loved that Kristen talked about Twilight. And that she called Snow White butch! Ha! What was your fave part of the interview? Think she’ll be a bad ass Snow? We wanna know!

Kristen Stewart Signed as Face of Balenciaga Scent
Balenciaga will soon have its own place in the Twilight. The brand has signed actress Kristen Stewart as the face of the newest Balenciaga fragrance for women.
Stewart, best known for her role as Bella Swan in the blockbuster movie saga, will represent a to-be-announced scent which is expected to be launched this fall.
“Balenciaga has always stood out to me,” Stewart told WWD on Thursday. “Even when I first began to consider fashion and admittedly rarely knew the brand I was wearing, I always recognized and loved Balenciaga. It feels full circle to be involved with something that spoke to me then and of course continues to excite me now. The brand is just cool. That’s the way it is. I feel drawn to it. It provokes on a number of levels. It isn’t afraid or contrived. It hits a very cool balance, always. Always pretty undeniable.”
Balenciaga creative director Nicolas Ghesquière called Stewart the muse for the new scent. “Kristen embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence,” said Ghesquière. “From her early appearance in ‘Panic Room’ to her independent choice of ‘Welcome to the Rileys,’ I’ve always sensed her progressive character. In 2006, I invited her to appear in a project shot by Bruce Weber. Since then, I’ve always wished to collaborate with her further, knowing that she shares the radical spirit of Balenciaga.”
Added Isabelle Guichot, chief executive officer of Balenciaga: “Kristen is the perfect choice as she embodies Nicolas Ghesquière’s unique vision for the second chapter in our fragrance history.”
Charlotte Gainsbourg remains the face of Balenciaga Paris, the first scent from the house, which was launched in 2010.
“Kristen stood out as an evident choice for this new fragrance,” added Catherine Walsh, senior vice president of American fragrances for Coty Prestige, a division of Coty Inc. “She has a unique sense of style, quite original and chic in the way she mixes fashion elements. Her elegant modernity and innate rebel style perfectly match with the spirit of Balenciaga.”
Stewart noted that after a busy 2011, she’s taking a bit of time to relax. “My horizon is clear as of now (except for this!) in terms of new projects, which feels incredible,” she said. “I have finished three films I can’t wait to see come to fruition this year, ‘On The Road,’ ‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ and ‘Breaking Dawn 2.’”

Carolina Herrera: Kristen Stewart Was ‘Moved’ by the ‘Breaking Dawn’ Wedding Dress
We knew the gown Carolina Herrera created specifically for the Breaking Dawn wedding took six months to design and that it left Robert Pattinson floored, but in the new issue of Town & Country Weddings, the designer reveals Kristen Stewart‘s very personal reaction.
“We did three fittings. When she initially put on the dress and looked over her shoulder into the mirror, she was very moved,” Herrera tells the mag, on stands Wednesday. “In that moment she was not an actress or a character in a film but instead a bride, and a happy one at that.”
The dress seen in the sketch (left) is what the designer calls a “union between Stephenie [Meyer's] description in the book and the Herrera bridal aesthetic” — something she has been perfecting for 25 years.
“I took into consideration the character of Bella and Kristen’s portrayal of her, and what this fantasy character would choose to wear for the most important day of her life,” she explains of the masterpiece, which retails for $35,000. “It’s made of a crepe satin with two inserts on the front and beautiful silk thread topstitching. The neckline is a slight V, just enough to see the collarbones. The back is oval-shaped, with a Chantilly lace border veiled in tulle. It’s very romantic, and when all the details come together, it creates a vision specific to Bella’s style and personality.”

Kristen Stewart Shells Out $12,000 to Buy Rob Pattinson Vintage Guitars for Christmas
Kristen Stewart clearly thinks boyfriend Robert Pattinson is a rock star!
The Twilight actress, 21, shelled out $12,000 to purchase two vintage guitars for her beau, 25, from Norman’s Rare Guitars in L.A.’s Tarzana area.
Snapping up the instruments on December 23, just in time for Christmas, Stewart knew Pattinson would be impressed with her purchase.
“She said ‘He’s gonna s–t when he sees them!’” the shop’s owner, Norman Harris, tells Us Weekly of Stewart, who strummed a guitar herself during her shopping session.
The guitars — a 1959 Fender Jazzmaster and a 1947 K&F Lap Steel — will be put to good use, as Pattinson plans to record an album.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 Earns $139.5 Million in Its Debut Weekend
Twihards came out in full force to see The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 in its opening weekend.
The film — the fourth in the hit vampire series starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner — earned a staggering $139.5 million domestically. It earned an additional $144 million worldwide, though it failed to surpass The Twilight Saga: New Moon’s $142.8 million domestic opening in 2009.
The Warner Bros. 3D film Happy Feet Two debuted in second place with $22 million. It grossed just half of the original movie, which opened with $41.5 million in 2006.
Last week’s big winner Immortals fell to third place with $12.2 million. The film — which costars Kellan Lutz and Freida Pinto — has earned $52.9 million since its November 11 debut.
The Adam Sandler and Katie Holmes comedy Jack and Jill fared slightly worse than Immortals with $12 million, falling two spots to fourth place. After four weeks in theaters, Puss in Boots managed to stay in the top five with $10.7 million.
Rounding out the Top 10: Tower Heist (No. 6, $6.9 million), J. Edgar (No. 7, $5.9 million), Harold & Kumar 3D Xmas (No. 8, $2.9 million), In Time (No. 9, $1.6 million) and The Descendants (No. 10, $1.2 million).

Kristen Stewart: I ‘Got Really Close’ with Chris Hemsworth on Snow White Set
Twilight fans might be sad that the five-part series wrapped filming in July, but the saga’s star Kristen Stewart is excited about her next role.
“I’ve had the most indulgent experience on Snow White and the Huntsman so far,” the actress, 21, who plays the title character, told reporters at L.A.’s Breaking Dawn – Part 1 premiere on Monday. “We had a lot of pre-production and I really got close with the director [Rupert Sanders] and [costar] Chris [Hemsworth] and everything, so I’m having a great time!”
And Stewart wants to make one thing clear: She doesn’t feel like she needed much of a break before diving back into a starring role again.
“Obviously everyone thinks it’s a kind of rush to do it,” she says. “[But] it was good timing; I had a little bit of time off in between [filming Breaking Dawn and Snow White]. It was good.”
As for her time working on Twilight – which she calls “pretty unique” – Stewart tells PEOPLE she is grateful for her fans but is “fine either way” with the extreme fanfare or without it.

Hollywood.com: Exclusive ‘Breaking Dawn’ Interviews
Our host, Hollywood.com, is releasing exclusive interviews with the cast of Breaking Dawn every day this week to celebrate the film’s release on Friday. Today features an interview with Boo Boo Stewart and Julia Jones and yesterday was Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone. You can watch the interviews HERE!
Kristen Stewart: Why Being a Vampire Hurts So Bad
Costars said she was easy on the eyes when she turned heads in a dazzling white wedding dress.
But not everything Kristen Stewart wore while filming Breaking Dawn was easy on her eyes.
When the Twilight actress made her vampire transformation for the second part of the saga’s final installment – the first of which arrives in theaters Friday – it wasn’t the fangs she had to get used to … it was the amber contact lenses all of the vampires wear in the film.
“That is one thing I can’t wait to say goodbye to,” Stewart, 21, tells MTV News of the eyewear accessory. “They just kill you. [They give you] dead face.”
She says the lenses, which are also worn by onscreen love interest and real-life boyfriend Robert Pattinson, limited her vision, “so you feel a little bit more closed off.”
Sore eyes aside, she was still happy for her character, Bella, to embrace her inner bloodsucker.
“The whole vampire thing – I wasn’t excited to be white and all that,” she says. “I was really more excited to finally get her there because she wants it so bad.”
